Kimonos, Posh Houses and Sausage Dogs 31.07.14

Hello again!

We spent hours wondering around west London today, vising Portobello Road (favourite place!), Kensington Palace Gardens and mostly admiring the beautiful, posh and very colourful town houses around the area. Although the market wasn't open, it was so nice just walking around the residential area - a nice quiet change from busy London high roads and shopping areas. Whilst we were meandering around, we met a very excited sausage dog called something like 'Lolly Dog' (I don't even know) which extremely nearly urinated on our shoes. But it was so cute and Ella fell in love with it so we included a picture capturing their ~moment~.

If you ever fancy a walk around London, here is definitely the place because it's so tranquil and the houses are stunning - especially on a sunny day like today!
Hope you like the pictures x

Portobello 19.07.14

Hello!

The quality of these pictures are pretty terrible because I took them on my phone and iPod. I didn't bring my camera out today because I wasn't planning on taking pictures, but it was such a lovely day and Portobello Market is such an amazing place that I just had to.

It's kind of unbelievable that I've lived in London for my entire life but had never been before today - the market's like a mix between Camden and Brick Lane, which are two of my favourite places in London. I didn't buy anything but it's lovely just walking around looking at all the different stalls that sell everything from food to antiques to crockery to jewels and clothes. Portobello Road itself is a lot longer than I thought, so the market stretches on for a long time meaning it was only necessary that we stopped for a cold FRUITY cider in one of the many pubs nearby.

The weather was going for 30 degrees today and it was really humid and stuffy, but London always looks so pretty in the sun - especially the multicolour houses we saw around the Portobello area. I love it when it's warm enough in the evenings to sit outside without having to put loads of layers on!

If you find yourself in London with nothing to do, I'd definitely recommend a trip to Portobello Market - on a Saturday when it's at it's most lively!

Summer Evenings JULY 2014

Hello!

We've only got one more week of school until we break up for the holidays WOO! Weather has improved, school work has died down and so we've been able to spend more time actually living vaguely social lives. The past two weekends we've been to a couple of friends' parties. It's so nice to be able to be outside in the evenings without huge jumpers and coats, but as a result we have now collected a rather unattractive array of mosquito bites on our legs. Unfortunate.

We decided to dress in summery clothing to take advantage of the warm weather, a rare occurrence for the British climate. (Yes, summer clothing for Eloise is just usual black but with shorts rather than more black).

We hope you like the photos!
