Style Inspo: Kaya Scodelario

I thought I might put together a different type of post today - it's not something we've done on our blog before, but I'm always wasting my life online finding style inspiration so I thought WHY NOT UPLOAD IT TO BLOGGER. I think I'd have to say Kaya Scodelario is one of my top style icons. As well as being an amazing actress, she seems like such a genuinely nice, chilled out person which I really respect. I think it's great when actresses/models actually have a bit of character and personality and don't just seem to be for show, does that make sense? I absolutely loved her in Skins - I thought Effy was a great character and I especially love her style. I'm currently reading Maze Runner so I can hopefully get to see the film with Kaya in sometime soon!! (it's literally such a good book, I can't put it down).
I gathered this collection of photos of Kaya from Tumblr, some of her in character and some from photoshoots. As well as her fashion sense, I absolutely love her eye makeup, especially in that scene from Skins.. if you've seen it you'll know what I'm talking about.

Hope you like this style of post and let me know what you think, I think Ella's going to do another one like this!

From what I've read, Kaya seems to go to a lot of music festivals so she's pretty good for festival fashion inspo too woooo. SHE NEEDS TO COME TO GLASTONBURY so I can bump into her.

HELLO AUTUMN

HELLO.

First of all, we need to start of with a huge ahjsdfkjsknskdjfhskjddf because WE GOT GLASTONBURY TICKETS!!! We really didn't think us and all of our friends would manage as there's such high demand, but we all did and we are literally so excited already. The tickets sold out in 25 minutes this year so we are feeling extremely happy with our internet skillz.

We were experimenting with the camera yesterday and we thought some of the pictures came out quite well, especially the close up detail ones? But obviously we're still learning about what works and what doesn't, and it is really fun just trying stuff out.

The weather has definitely started getting colder now and the streets are covered with crunchy leaves yay. This summer was great but there comes a point where you just want to swap shorts and crop-tops with cosy jumpers and long sleeves again! In these pictures, Eloïse is wearing a long sleeved black top with detailing on the shoulders from Zara, a black skater skirt from H&M, spotty tights with long black socks, necklace from H&M and casual black canvas-type shoes from Urban Outfitters. Ella is wearing a floral print dress from ASOS, Doc Martens, bag from Primark, Black waffle knit jumper from Boohoo and a boyfriend coat from Pull and Bear.

We hope you like the post and have a good week!!

Vintage and Vinyl Shopping in Manchester

I spent last weekend staying with my cousin in her student house in Manchester. I was pretty excited to go up as I've only been a couple of times before and it's somewhere I'm quite interested in going to uni. It's going to be quite weird moving out next year because I feel like even if I go to another big city like Manchester, nowhere will compare to London which is where I've lived my whole life. And it's also going to be weird because I still feel like I am a 7 year old child. And am still the height of one. But I will CROSS THAT BRIDGE WHEN I COME TO IT.

We were at a house party on the night we arrived, but the day after we went for an explore in the city centre. We found quite a lot of funky vintage shops, cafés and vinyl fairs which was great and felt quite a bit like London in that sense. I especially liked Pop Boutique which had loads of nice shirts and jumpers - I think there's one in London but I don't even know where it is..:') I didn't buy anything though because I'm trying to restrict my spending as I currently probably can't even fund 1 tube fair let alone festivals next summer! I literally need a job so much.

I felt like overall, the city had a really nice atmosphere and it was really nice to experience a bit of student/social life there as it's something you can't really get from going on an open day. I didn't take loads of pictures and most of them are inside shops so it's a bit pointless but I thought they turned out okay anyway!
