Transgressive Records 10th Anniversary - The Barbican

Hello!

A few months back, we purchased tickets to attend a concert at the Barbican centre, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Transgressive Records. One of our absolute favourite bands, Mystery Jets, were on the line up, which was our main reason for buying tickets as it was their first gig in London for 2 years! EXCITEMENT.

Also, APOLOGIES FOR THE RUBBISH PHOTO QUALITY. We had to use our phones to take photos as we thought DSLR cameras wouldn't be allowed...but they were. They didn't even check anyone's bags .      anger.

There were two acts on before Mystery Jets, who we hadn't heard of before but they were actually both so good. The first was Marika Hackman, who had possibly one of the most relaxing voices ever. It was so refreshing to hear a really good quality female performer! Dry the River were also a great surprise and put on a really good show and they will definitely be making their way onto the old iPod.

But most importantly, Mystery Jets were literally so so so incredible. It was just the kind of performance that has you on the edge of your seat (or standing up) (dancing) (we did a bit of that lol) because they're just so captivating and their music is just so beautiful. We were both really glad they played some tunes off their album Radlands because the songs on it are stunning GO AND LISTEN NOW. Blaine Harrison, the lead singer has such an angelic voice and just jhenkdjshkdlcm. The only annoying thing about the night was that Mystery Jets just weren't on for long enough and the vast majority of people at the venue were clearly there for them rather than the last act. But hopefully when they release their new album next year we'll be able to see them again!

Once again sorry about the terrible pictures. But it was such a great evening!
