Autumn / Winter Mood

Hello!
This is just a quick little post. I figured that, as Eloise enjoyed doing the Kaya Scodelario style inspiration post so much (here to view) and it got a good response, I thought I'd do something quite similar!

I'd say that Autumn is probably my favorite time of year. I love waking up in the morning when its all frosty outside but sunny at the same time and I'm all wrapped up in my duvet like a cocoon, never wanting to get out.

I also think that Autumn/Winter is the best time of year for fashion. You can just throw on a nice jumper or coat and you don't have to even think about what you put on underneath. MINIMAL EFFORT required. Just how we like it.

So for this post, I've gathered some photos of things that I thought had that typical 'Autumnal' feel to them, including a gingerbread house because I have decided that I want to attempt to make one this Christmas... lol. I AM SO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS. (I am aware that it is only October but still.)

Hope you enjoy! x

Dogtooth Blanket Cape/Shawl and Autumn Layering

Hello!

Another outfit post today! I recently bought this rather SUAVE dogtooth blankety cape shawl thing and I've already worn it like 4 times even though I've only had it a week. It's literally so warm. It's also really good because it's reversible so I can go wild and have dogtooth or be my normal self and have it black like everything else I own. And also it was so cheap? Like 11 pounds from Select, NOT BAD.  Also I actually apologise for how bad I look especially my hair omg, I was soooo tired. I wore it with my black velvet crop top from Urban Outfitters, black topshop jeans and my docs, and also these ear cuffs that I recently bought and used to trick my dad into thinking I'd went and got 3 more piercings.

Ella wore this lovely paisley print top from Asos, a leather jacket also from Asos, with a boyfriend coat from Pull & Bear layered on top for EXTRA WARMTH, Topshop jeans and Asos shoes. Gotta love a bit o' Asos.

We'll be putting up another post this week with some other pictures we took of Brick Lane and various bits and bobs - we were so happy with how they came out.

Hope you like! x

Black Lace and Leopard Print 08.09.14

As it was such a lovely day today and me and Ella finished early, we decided to go to the woods (again) and do a bit of an outfit post because it's been quite a while. It really is such a nice place to take photos because of all the greenery and trickling water, but it's quite hard to get the lighting on the pictures right as the sun shone down in huge patches which made some of the photos so over-exposed - although this gave a pretty nice effect to some pictures.

Today Ella wore her gorgeous new leopard print coat from H&M which will be great when it starts to get chillier this autumn, her striped jumper also from H&M, Jamie jeans from Topshop and Doc Marten boots.

I felt a bit like Bellatrix Lestrange in my new long black lace... thing. Not going to lie I literally don't know what it is. A cardigan? A kimono? A KAFTAN? But I thought it was pretty funky anyway and I bought it because I don't have anything quite like it and it will be a good slightly more fancy cover-up for the autumn. I wore it with my black velvet dress from Topshop and my Docs.

Hope you like the pictures and have a good week!
